As you come to worship your Lord on the eve of Christmas, remember your God does not sit far off on Mount Olympus or dwell in the distant land of the gods. Your God is right around the corner. He looks like you. Nothing could be more terrifying. Nothing could be more comforting. He did not ask for your approval before showing up. He did not wait for you to get in the right spirit or adorn the appropriate attitude before arriving in your town and bringing heaven with Him. But arrive He did.
