The life we live we now live by faith in the Son of God. And the baptisim with which we baptize, we baptize by that same faith in the Son of God. Faith is essential and faith looks through this sign to Christ who has died and risen for us. The promises of God regarding our salvation are yes and amen in Christ and they are no and absolutely not anywhere else. In Christ alone the Father’s promises blossom. And they blossom there indeed.
