You would think that if God were going to do something supernatural in your life, He would only do it rarely. The truly spiritual things must be infrequent. The visits to the third heaven must be few and far between. But the truth is just the opposite. God takes you to the heavenly Jerusalem every week, as He has taken you right now. He feeds you with heavenly manna from above every week. He pours out His Son’s blood as wine for your soul routinely, as He causes His sun to rise on you every morning.

The point is not that you should “get in the feels” more than you do. The point is God gives you more grace than you can swallow. No reason to fuss about this. Just chew with mouth and soul. Taste and see that He is good. He has wedded the extraordinary to the ordinary as He has wedded His Son’s body to this bread and His blood to this wine. So when you come and welcome to Jesus Christ remember that you don’t have to come far, you only have to come in faith. So come in faith and welcome to Jesus Christ.
