Baptism is a sign and seal of the covenant promises of God. These promises make a man steady, stable, immoveable amid the surprises of life. These promises have made men preach Christ amid persecution, refuse to bow before golden images, and continue to pray to the Living God when kings have outlawed that practice. No man knows what each new day will bring. But we do know the promise. And that promise is: God will be your God and the God of your children. He has begun a good work in you and yours; and He will see it through to completion.
