I told you last week, and I see no reason why I shouldn’t tell you again that you will endure all of your troubles by the strength of another. This bread is courage and this wine is zeal. And you will not need to fight in the battle. You will have to work. You will have to stand fast, resist the devil, not faint in the day of adversity, and you will most certainly need to throw banquets and ask your King to bless your requests. But has He not proven to you that He will bless them? Do you have any real reason to shrink back? No, you do not.

Tell your children as you eat this meal that we serve Jehovah God, we don’t serve other gods. We would not serve other gods if they offered us their help. We would not serve other gods even if they really could help us. If we must die, then we will die with Christ. And frankly we don’t care where we end up so long as we are with Him. And if you live this way, which is the way of faith, then you will find that dying with Him you will rise with Him and have both Him and everything. “For all things are your’s; Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your’s” (1 Corinthians 3:21-22) So come in faith and welcome to Jesus Christ.
